Amy Williams

Thinking about or deciding to start therapy takes bravery and vulnerability. My goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment so that you feel safe exploring areas of your life that are preventing you from enjoying it fully. Wherever you are in your journey, I will meet you there and help you get to where you would like to be. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive. I use cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and insight-oriented therapies to help build on existing strengths, learn new skills, and identify patterns of thought and behavior that are no longer serving you. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in residential, school, and legal settings, creating a diverse psychotherapeutic approach to many issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and attachment difficulties, and behavioral issues.
